Research on the process of aging?
My ultimate dream is to contribute to the research of anti-aging techniques. The thing is, the university I will most likely be attending offers multiple courses. Do you think that Biochemistry/Biotechnology is a good place to start? It would be disappointing to discoverer after 4 years that all that hard work was for nothing.

Keep in mind that research intensive studies don’t really come into play until graduate school. Sure, you can do internships or work in labs that work with aging research, but it more of lab tech stuff, not independent research. The important things to take from your undergraduate degree (bachelor’s degree) are the fundamentals of biology and chemistry (if you want to pursue anti-aging research in the future). A major in biochemistry, chemistry, biology – preferably in a track like molecular/cell biology, genetics, and even microbiology – are all very good undergraduate degrees to prepare you for want you want to do.
Contact and research the professors at that university. See what directions they are going in. Then, if you make any breakthroughs, or need a guinea pig, let me know

The most promising candidate in the area of anti-aging products seems to be an area called bionanotech. I’ve been reading a lot of articles about how nanotech can be used to reverse cell the degredation process and hence stop ageing. Suggest you check out the site http://www.nstc.in for their program in Bionanotech. I think its a six month online program and pretty cheap too!
